I really liked this book. In the beginning the story had a lot of bible references, which would make it more of a christian romance but not so much that it overwhelms the story. Then only a few references here and there about God and praying. Charm is not a force to be reckoned with. Raven is a cool minded man. Raven is a detective who finds missing people. He knows Charm is this missing Chantilly Grady he's been looking for. Raven, because of Charm and his so called friend Clancy, goes through so much while trying to bring her back to St. Louis. I am surprised he stuck with her and lived. At times the story was funny and times very sad. The sex scenes were well written for the story. They weren't lacking or over the top. Perfect balance. The part where she's just touching his chest was so erotic because the author put so much passion in her writing. Little mystery in here too. The ending was very good..Many things fall into place at the end of the story. The reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is there was just too much that happened to Raven throughout the story. One thing after another happens to this poor man that I had to say "enough already" by the time they were on the boat to St. Louis. Also, for the era, Raven and Charm sounded like they had a very high level of education. Couldn't understand this since Raven only went to school until he was 13 and Charm had a tutor and mostly read the Bible. The way they spoke, the correct use of the English language and $10 words just didn't fit with the story. Most of the other characters in the story spoke for the era. A few editing problems too but that seems to be consistent with e-books from . I do think you'll like it.
Her books are entertaining, funny, & sexy. A good read. This book kept you wondering what was going to happen next.
